Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda (born 8 August 1968) is a respected Nigerian politician, engineer, and academic whose life reflects a blend of scholarship, innovation, and dedicated public service. He currently serves as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s leading political party, where he provides strategic leadership rooted in unity, progress, and national renewal.

A seasoned technocrat, Professor Yilwatda previously served as the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, where he led reforms that improved efficiency and transparency in humanitarian response and social welfare programs. His tenure strengthened coordination across national and state agencies, ensuring that support reached those most in need.

Before his ministerial service, he was appointed the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Benue State (2017–2021), where he championed the adoption of technology-driven processes within the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), contributing to credible elections and data integrity.

An accomplished scholar, Professor Yilwatda spent over a decade as Director of ICT at the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, where he advanced research in digital systems and promoted capacity building among young professionals. His academic and technical background continues to inform his data-driven approach to governance.

In 2023, he was the APC gubernatorial candidate for Plateau State, earning widespread respect for his campaign centered on unity, youth empowerment, and economic inclusion. His subsequent appointment as National Chairman of the APC on 24 July 2025 marked a defining moment in his lifelong journey of service to Nigeria.
